For LDS LGBTQ Support (The Lord My Pasture Will Prepare)
The Lord My Pasture Will Prepare provides support and fellowship for LGBTQ people who desire to attend the LDS church and are in or seeking a same-sex relationship or are affirming of such relationships. It is a private (secret) group, meaning only members can read the posts and see who’s in the group. This is not an official LDS group, and it is not affiliated with the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. It is one of several groups created and sponsored by Affirmation, with this group specifically designed for those who desire to attend church. To join this Facebook group please friend the Prepare Group Moderator.
For Active LDS Parents with LGBT children (I’ll Walk With You Parent Group)
Facebook’s I’ll Walk With You Parent Group is a group for parents who are committed to staying active in the church while supporting and affirming their LGBT children. It is a group that is moderated to ensure that there is no disrespect shown toward the church. This is an excellent group for people who are new to the issue. It is categorized by Facebook as ‘secret’ which means that nobody outside of the group will know you are in the group or be able to read your posts there. It is primarily restricted to parents and grandparents, but other family members are considered as well on a case by case basis. To gain access to this group you must contact one of the admins, and send them a friend request so they can add you. Contact Greg Searle or Christy Searle
